A full immersion wash is the only cleaning method that truly rinses a hand-knotted rug. Surface methods leave residue that becomes the substrate for the next round of dirt — accelerating wear rather than slowing it.
Some methods we use today were used by Fred Remmers himself. The craft hasn't changed because the rugs haven't — water, soap, time, and care still produce the cleanest result.
Damaged fringes, holes, missing knots, faded sections — almost anything that can go wrong with a rug, we can fix. All repairs are performed by hand, by weavers in our own workshop.
The repair workshop runs on knowledge passed by hand and by example — sometimes literally with a senior weaver standing over a junior's shoulder. There is no shortcut for it, and that's the point.
Written valuations for insurance, estate, donation, or resale — based on direct knowledge of weaving traditions, marketplace history, and current dealer values across the major rug-producing regions.
Appraisals include rug origin, age estimate, materials, dimensions, condition, and a documented value. Reports are accepted by major insurers and estate attorneys.

Climate-controlled, mothproofed storage in our facility — rolled (not folded), wrapped in breathable material, and inspected during your absence.
Common uses: home renovations, seasonal swaps, extended travel, estate transitions, and college storage. Pick-up and re-delivery included.
