How much does rug cleaning cost?
Pricing is based on rug size, fiber, and condition. Most wool rugs are priced per square foot, with a minimum charge for small rugs. After we inspect your rug at intake, we'll give you a firm estimate before any work begins. There are no surprises.
How long does cleaning take?
Standard turnaround is two to three weeks from pick-up to delivery. Repairs and reweaves take longer, depending on the scope of work — a small reweave might add a week, a major one can take a month or more. We'll quote a timeline along with the price.
Do you offer pick-up and delivery?
Yes — free pick-up and delivery throughout all five metro areas. Schedule online or by phone. We'll confirm a window, come collect your rug, and bring it back when it's ready.
Can you remove pet stains and odors?
In most cases, yes. Fresh stains are easier than old ones, and stains that have wicked into the foundation are tougher than surface stains — but rarely impossible. Pet odors are addressed at the foundation level, not just on the surface.
My rug is bleeding red dye into the white areas. Can it be saved?
Yes. Color run is a common issue and is usually correctable, even years after the initial bleed. Don't try home remedies first — they can set the stain. Call us, send a photo, and we'll tell you whether it's recoverable before you ship it.
Is dry cleaning or steam cleaning OK for an oriental rug?
Neither truly rinses the rug. Both leave residue in the foundation, which attracts more dirt and accelerates fiber wear. A full immersion wash is the only method that actually cleans a hand-knotted rug.
Can you fix a hole in my rug?
Almost always. Small holes get rewoven knot-by-knot. Larger ones may be patched. Either way, the goal is the same: invisible from the front, structurally sound from the back.
Do you appraise rugs?
Yes — written appraisals for insurance, estate, donation, or resale. Reports include origin, age estimate, materials, dimensions, condition, and a documented value. Accepted by major insurers and estate attorneys.
Do you store rugs?
Yes. Climate-controlled, mothproofed storage in our facility. Rolled (never folded), wrapped in breathable material, and inspected periodically. Common for renovations, seasonal swaps, or extended absences.
Do I really need a rug pad?
Yes. A pad reduces foot-traffic impact on the foundation, prevents slippage, and keeps the rug from grinding against hard floors. It can extend a rug's useful life by 15 years or more — it's the cheapest investment you can make in the rug.
Do you only clean oriental rugs?
No — we clean all area rugs, hand-knotted or machine-made. Wool, silk, cotton, synthetic, antique, modern. The method changes by fiber and construction, but the standard does not.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully insured. Every rug we receive is logged, photographed, and tracked through every stage of the process.
